You will have an opportunity to map out the sequence of problems you'll use next year. Interactive Read-alouds using Text Sets in 4K
In this session, we will revisit the work done the past year on 4K read-alouds, refine current lesson plans, and complete lesson plans for the upcoming school year. We will review best practices around vocabulary and text based questions. We will also look at how to extend the focus of read-alouds throughout the day and into center activities. 
This is offered as a full day course. The morning will cover instructional content and the afternoon will be work and collaboration time. The afternoon portion is optional.

A Teacher's Guide to Standards-Based Learning Using Unit Plans in Math, 4K-5
This course is for Oak Creek Teachers who want to pilot drafts of unit plans in mathematics during the first semester of 2019-20. By participating in this course, teachers will be able to learn about a standards-based approach to unit plans based on OCFJSD Essential Learning. They will also have the opportunity to provide invaluable feedback to the design team on next steps.

Zone of Regulation and Social Thinking, 4K-5
This class is aimed at both regular and special education elementary teachers. The Zones of Regulation curriculum teaches students to become more aware of the emotions of themselves and others. Through the Zones, students learn self-regulation strategies and emotional control in a fun and engaging way. This curriculum goes hand in hand with Social Thinking, which teaches students executive functioning and social problem solving. We know that learning trajectories (progressions) can help inform our work with even the youngest students! Join us as we discover the power of learning trajectories for instruction and assessment. We'll dive into two big areas of kindergarten learning - subitizing and counting. We'll use these two areas as a context for understanding learning trajectories in general and will share resources for subitizing, counting, and beyond.
